I’m sure you understand by now that opportunities do exist (although very few), but the real hard part is that it’s not just about the hours. The minimums are only a starting point.
But for this job, for example, I’m pretty sure someone local and just barely qualified would be preferred over a more experienced pilot.
Applying to jobs like this can work (it did for me), but it’s a long shot.
