Low-Time Pilot Jobs: July Report

July kicked off the summer hiring cycle with multiple hiring window announcements for the upcoming imagery season.

That means a few dozen low-time pilot jobs were up for grabs, all through online applications.

If you compare what’s happening now to what happened during the 2022-2023 hiring frenzy, it might seem as though “no one is hiring.”

Not true though.

2025 was a record year in terms of new commercial certificates issued.

As a result, operators have more AND better options. So, it’s not like nobody is hiring, they’re simply not hiring YOU.

Then comes the age-old question: “what can I do to get hired?”

It’s all about clearly understanding what each company is hiring for (specific traits) and/or hiring against (specific experience) and making moves accordingly.

For example, Skylens requiring Aztec time, ProStar preferring admin/reporting background…

And yes, “knowing someone” is important too.

Below are the 9 jobs that were advertised online this month only.

That’s more than I expected, hopefully August brings even more?

If you’re new, I notify Pilot Job Hub members as soon as I come across one. The community format helps us keep track of what jobs are good and which ones are bogus.

We actually came across one that was advertised as a job the other day (on Facebook), but isn’t.

And based on the feedback from other members, I think GV Air (below) has a hard cut-off below 500 hours, even though the job description doesn’t mention that.
